TRAVEL DIARY: AUSTRALIA

March 27, 2016

Making my trip back to the homeland was the perfect ray of sunshine I needed to get me through this gloomy Seattle Spring/Winter (Spring and Winter basically feel like the same season in Seattle). A large portion of my family lives in the Great Land Down Undah! And I am actually a dual citizen in the US and Australia. I have always pondered on the idea of moving down there, fashion is a bigger industry in Sydney then it will probably ever be in Seattle, and I just love the care free style of girls down there!

My family is pretty big on our "tea and scones" game, this little German town called Hahndorf is our go-to place to sit under a little colorful umbrella and enjoy a cup of tea and long deserved catch-up with one another!

SURPRISE 21ST BIRTHDAY PARTY!
My mom purchased this dress overseas for me in Spain so I am unable to link it, but here are some similar ones! Herehere, and here.
We surprised my little brother with a celebration for his 21st at the most gorgeous glass enclosed restaurant that hangs almost magically over the Adelaide river in-between the trees. I didn't have as much time to get photos of the location as I would have liked, but below is a photo from the restaurants website. (I don't normally like to use photos I find off the internet because I think it's less personal, but it was too beautiful to not share!!)

Phone case from: Case Famous
I love this little perfume bottle phone case so much that I think I am going to go back and purchase it in black as well! The quality is really nice, people keep asking me if the top is glass because it looks so real!!
What girl doesn't love a European fairtale-esque castle? I have grown up walking past this gorgeous other-wordly little abode every time I come down to see my grandparents as it is right around the corner from their home. I will just never be able to get over how darling it is!! I love all the old-word architecture and charming detail, if you are looking to stay the night in the hills of Adelaide away from the city, this is the perfect romantic getaway and it is so different from any other commercial bed and breakfast. Thorngrove Manor is part of The Small Luxury Hotel's of the world, you can choose to either stay a romantic night here, or sit down for high tea, it is truly a hidden treasure of the Adelaide Hills.
